dynamic characteristics of large bearings. The experimental results were considered by BHGE satisfactory with respect to the numerical results of dedicated codes. Tests are planned in the next future to investigate the effects of static load, oil temperature, and flow rate. At present, 5-pad bearing characterization tests are underway in various configurations and innovative designs.
