of the tooth as a temperature profile. The aforementioned procedure was repeated for all the load levels that were investigated during the bending fatigue tests. In order to apply the TCM approach (see Section 2.1), the lowest value of the nominal pulsator force was chosen on the basis of an estimation of the σ FP-ISO (see coefficients in Table 1). 4. Results In this section, the results obtained from this activity are presented.

In particular, the relative temperature profiles (ΔTemp) obtained during the fatigue tests, on the basis of the loading conditions, are illustrated in Fig. 4 (a). In this case, the number of cycles adopted for the analysis was 50000 since
