The reduction of the thickness of the cross-section at the neck was considered, so the dependence of the force on this size was shown, Fig 5. It can be seen that the CGM for an initial damage parameter value of 0.005 predicts failure at the corresponding thickness reduction value. Thickness reduction is a one-size-fits-all value, unlike elongation, which depends on the chosen gauge length, so this diagram can actually be used to determine the appropriate value of f 0 (calibration), which is 0.005 for both materials considered.
