4.2 Sorptivity Analysis
The study evaluates the water absorption characteristics of concrete samples incorporating varying percentages of nano-SiO 2 particles (1% to 5%) over 300 minutes. Fig. 2 depicts that all samples displayed an increase in weight due to water absorption, with the reference mix (0% nano-SiO 2 ) recording the highest uptake. At 0 minutes, the average weight for the reference was 0.403 g, while nano-SiO2 mixes showed decreasing initial weights with increasing dosage — nano-SiO 2 4% having the lowest at 0.361 g.
