conducted to replicate a uniformly distributed load condition on the slab specimens. Loading was applied gradually through a 50-tonne capacity hydraulic jack, and a 50-tonne load cell was used to monitor the applied loads at regular intervals. Steel pads were used to ensure proper load transfer and to prevent local crushing of the slab. The load was applied using a hydraulic jack at a controlled rate of 0.1 kN/s. Mid-span vertical deflection was monitored using a linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) of 0-100 mm range.
