3.2. Behavior of soil mixed with brick dust Tests on LS mixed with BD were performed in the A3 series. Fig. 6 shows the stress-strain behavior of soil mixed with BD. It can be observed that the inclusion of BD improves the load-carrying behavior of soil. The grain size distribution of the BD and LS shows that particles of BD are in the sand size, while particles of LS are fine grained. A mixture of both materials improves the gradation of the soil. Due to the improvement in gradation, the soil's peak strength has increased. The variation of the UCS with BDC is presented in Fig. 7. Due to the inclusion of 5% BD, UCS increases. However, with further increments in the BD, UCS starts decreasing to 20% in BDC. However, further improvement improves the UCS again. The reason for such behavior is that at lower content, the gradation improves due to the inclusion of the larger size particles. But further improvement reduces the gradation. However, after 20%, the BDC gradation again started to improve, so the mix's strength increased.

3.3. Behavior of soil mixed with brick dust and cement The stress-strain behavior of the soil mixed with 6% cement and BD for a CP of 7 days is presented in Fig. 8. It can be observed that the peak stress of the soil increases with an increase in the BDC. Further, the slope of the stress strain curve also increases with an increase in the BD. It indicates that the stiffness of the mix increases with an increase in the BDC. As mentioned earlier, the BD improves the gradation of the soil. The addition of cement mobilizes the cementitious performance of the mix. Both aspects work when both admixtures are added to the soil.
