As regards the technical-constructive information of the various architectural components, a state of strong degradation of the building, even of ruin, is very useful, paradoxically a state from which it is possible to draw notions on the various structural elements, on their installation and jointing technique, filling materials, etc. (Marta, 1989; O'Connor, 1993).

Among the various cases studied, in particular, the state of the Augustus Bridge in Narni, with broken arches and a collapsed pylon, split and moved from its original position due to the pressure of the Nera river, allowed us to carry out a 360° study of degree, from the recognition of the geometric-metric proportion of the large masses and the formulation of reconstructive hypotheses, to the detailed study of the interlocking technique between the individual ashlars (Bartolesi et al., 2017; Cecchi, 2003).
