- Input data: five main typologies of information were defined: (i) dynamic data recorded by the accelerometers, (ii) static data recorded at high frequency by inclinometers, deformometers and displacement transducers, (iii) images from cameras that will be added in the next future, (iv) environmental measures (temperature and humidity) and (v) information from periodic visual inspections. - Analyses approach: hybrid fusion approach has been considered involving the combination of data-level (by AI application), feature-level (combination of data of different types), and decision-level fusion (comparing the outputs of the different sources of the monitoring system and adding the information from numerical models). 4. Preliminary data analyses and numerical models In Figure 8 shows an example of accelerations measured at four different times during the day. The considered points are those at the centerline of a monitored span of the O13 bridge. Correlation between peaks frequency and vehicular traffic intensity can be clearly seen. The collection of these data over an extended time period may be useful for both evaluations aimed at bridge fatigue stress (Lee et al. 2001) and assessment of the correlation between vertical and horizontal dynamic actions recorded at heavy vehicles crossing. The experimental data will allow also to refine the finite element model (FEM) developed considering the monitored span and two adjacent spans (Schlune, 2009; Altunisik, 2017; Bilotta et al., 2021). The view of the FE model of O13 bridge and the main mode shape of the monitored span are depicted in Figure 9. The measurements from the monitoring system will be used to calibrate the model through a procedure of uploading considering also the effects of real bearings and defects.
