4.4.

Ultimate pressure test (qualification tests):

The test article withstood the ultimate pressure test without any global yielding and the peak strain values achieved were under the marginal limits. Test article bursted at 18.57 bar (g) with the initiation of crack from inner side of long seam welds on the sub assembly consisting of adaptors. All strain values were confirming to specifications.

DIC Results:

Two frames captured by the camera just before burst and post burst along with burst locations are shown in Fig. 25 and Fig. 26.
