4.4. Effect of velocity and length of striker on signal

The effect of velocity of striker bar on the Split-Hopkinson Pressure Bar signal have been plotted in the Fig.5 keeping other parameter constant. The level of signals is increasing with the velocity of striking bar. The length and material of striking bar is not varying hence the duration of wave pulse and striking time are not changing. The wave velocity is the function of material not the velocity of striking. The length of striker has been varying and other parameter have been kept constant. The signal has been plotted in Fig. 6. Only pulse duration is changing due to the change in size of striker which is obvious.
