Rahul Mittal/ Structural Integrity Procedia 00 (2019) 000 – 000 Results of Structural analysis including thermal stresses of the assembly for all transients, detailed Stress intensity contour plots for all the transients extracted for evaluation and some to the critical contours are shown below in Table 6. Contours for Level A & steady State and SSE (Accidental case) show the stress intensity distribution at the cross section of the nozzle along the crotch, sleeve, and axial direction due to thermal variation. Very high stresses are observed at the location of the nozzle crotch due to the temperature variation. Also, stress linearization was performed to evaluate and qualify primary and secondary stresses as per ASME Section III, Sub section NB allowable limits for each service condition. Table 6.
