Fig. 3. Load – displacement curves for mixed mode loading. Fig. 4 shows one cracked specimen for each of the tested modes. It could be observed a curvilinear crack trajectory for mixed mode and pure mode II loading. The crack initiation angle is increasing with increasing the mode II.
