Subsequently, Cohesive Zone Model (CZM) has been introduced in the numerical simulation. A classical traction separation law has been adopted in the cohesive model, defined by three parameters: initial stiffness, maximum stress, and failure energy. Furthermore, a cohesive interface has been placed between each sub-laminate of the plate. The delamination area reflects the features described in the standard ASTM D 7136, as shown in Figure 8.
