displacements. It is seen that the applied pure in-plane boundary conditions lead to out-of-plane deformation since the coupling term B . The distributions of the maximum principal strains of the six PBCs cases are shown in Fig.5.
4.3. Discussion of Computing Time
The convergence and computing time of employing the developed approach in the twill woven composite are in vestigated and presented in Tabls.3. The computing time is compared to the traditional FE method which yields results with the same accuracy as the FFT-based approach. It is seen that the FFT-based approach demonstrates significant time savings compared to the FEM, a finding that becomes even more pronounced with higher resolution.
