• Like observed for stress intensity factor ranges, it can be expected that the crack deflection angle values become coincident for longer cracks, the effect of the corrosion pit disappears. • Corrosion pit affects behavior of only short cracks but only within a small difference in the values of crack deflection angles; this influence is expressed via the plots and cannot be unambiguously described.
