4. Conclusions

The present numerical results support the following conclusions: 1- Mode I, mode II, and mixed mode fracture toughness of concrete pavement decreased with increasing W/C ratio and/or RAP%. 2- Good prediction of crack path is not evidence for the reliability of the test results. 3- SCB-2 and SCB-3 specimens are unreliable to predict the fracture toughness of concrete pavement. 4- The relationship between the mode I fracture toughness predicted from SCB-1 specimen and the flexural strength is strongly correlated.
