2.2. Fireproof textile - Natan
Second test material which served as a base for applying a surface layer of titanium silicide was a clothing fabric called NATAN. This fabric is intended for protective clothing. Material composition: Nomex 75%, Kevlar 23%, P140 2% (carbon fiber). Both materials (with and without coating) were compared in Fig.4.

3. Thermal resistance study
3.1. Testing stand
The aim of the research was to study the influence of the TiSi coating on the infrared radiation (thermal) resistance generated in specially designed testing stand. The radiation intensity was registered with the use of thermovision camera. The same samples as for previous tests were used. The test were carried out before and after the gas pressure impact. The thermal resistance testing stand was set in thermo isolated box (Thermobox)made of polypropylene (EPP) for temperature scope - 40 ° C to + 120 ° C. The detailed construction of testing stand was shown in Fig. 5a).

Material samples were also tested at 330 °C for which a new testing stand was built (Fig. 5 b). It consists of a “hot plate” heating device with a microprocessor temperature controller and a rack to which the sample is attached. The heating device has the ability to set the temperature in the range of 20-500 °C. Samples were tested at the temperature of 330 °C due to the limitation in range of the infrared camera. Material heating process was carried out with the use of so called “black body” buil t of four Peltier cells – Fig. 6, fixed on the movable base, which allowed to change the distance between heat source and sample in the range of 0 150 mm. Cells control was achieved by the power supply unit (change of the unit voltage resulted with cells temperature change). The temperature level measurement was carried out with thermovision camera, which lens was situated inside the thermo isolation box.
