5. Conclusions This paper applies the seismic assessment procedure proposed by the draft of the new EC8 for existing URM buildings and based on nonlinear static analysis with an equivalent-frame model. The aim is to study the reduction of uncertainties in the results of the assessment when increasing the knowledge of the building. Furthermore, the results of the performed analyses are used to calibrate values of the partial safety factors accounting for the achieved knowledge, to be applied to the displacement capacity of the entire building. A single case study clay masonry building is analyzed assuming different knowledge levels and considering the variability of material properties. For each realization of sampled material properties, displacement capacity and acceleration corresponding to the attainment of
