Continuous research and process innovation, together with experimental tests carried out in collaboration with important public institutions and universities, has evolved the technology to new innovative applications like those recently used on historical monuments and infrastructures. The innovative use of a 3D printing system for steel components will increase opportunities for the company and CAM ® technology. For the latter, many solutions can improve traditional techniques by using components designed and produced in Additive Manufacturing. A new patented idea for a tensioning system engineered in Additive Manufacturing will create a new approach for the post-tensioning of bridges and will enable the use of other materials like FRP for “active” strengthening. Keywords: CAM ® System, prestressed ribbons, seismic retrofitting, historical exposed masonry, additive manufacturing, ,slab reinforcement, additive manufacturing, post tensioning 1. Edil CAM ® Sistemi technology for static consolidation and seismic retrofitting Edil CAM Sistemi ® is a company that promotes its brand CAM ® together with related patents. For existing structures it is one of the leading companies in Italy in the field of active seismic retrofitting and prides itself on its unique know-how, with over 500 specialized applications of its own technology. The CAM ® System is different from other available techniques because it is capable of being "immediately active", as well as being able to increase the capacity of structures at installation.
