terms of behavior factor, the q-factor is even greater than the design q d for steel structures, showing a high ductile capacity, also confirmed by some experimental tests on timber beam-to-column joints with steel link. For the purpose of design criteria calibration, both experimental campaigns and numerical parametric studies on both global systems and sub-assemblage are required. In particular, it is necessary to define local requirements for dissipative zones, calibrate the behaviour factor for the different ductility classes of structures, specify the overstrength factors for the application of the capacity design, consider multistory multispan seismic resistant structures.
