8. FRCM system: reinforced plaster on load-bearing walls
For the masonry, having an average thickness of about 60 cm, reinforcement was made with FRCM (Fiber Reinforced Cementitious Matrix) reinforced plaster consisting of a bidirectional balanced network of primed basalt fiber B-NET 450 BA with a weight of 450 g/m 2 , NHL 5.0 LIMECRETE M15 natural hydraulic lime-based mortar and glass fiber staple anchorage connectors type GFIX 10. Masonry walls reinforced with FRCM system have mechanical properties dependent on the components used, their quality and quantity. Individual mechanical properties were calculated using the following formulas, derived from the guidance of the CNR document (CNR-DT 200 R1/2013) and NTC 18. 8.1. Average compressive strength of reinforced masonry f cm : " = $ % ∙' % ($ )*+ ∙, - ' )*+ ' % (, - ' )*+ (1) 8.2. Average shear strength τ cm : " = / + 0,4 ∙ , - ∙ ' 5- ∙ 6 7- 8' % ( ' )*+ ∙ , - 9 (2) 8.3. Equivalent normal modulus of elasticity E eq : ;< = = % ∙' % (= )*+ ∙, - ' )*+ ' % (, - ' )*+ (3) 8.4. Equivalent normal modulus of elasticity E eq : ;< = 0,4 ∙ ;< (as per §11.10.3.4 - NTC 2018) (4) The following table (Table 2) shows the results for the two types of original masonry reinforced with the FRCM system.
