1.4. Finite element model A Finite Element (FE) analysis is used to develop the case study and further investigate the state of the structure. The box girder bridge is developed in MIDAS Civil (MIDAS Information Technology Co. 2022), with the use of beam elements featuring the geometrical and mechanical properties of the as-built features of the bridge were implemented.
