authors’ opinion, the proposed procedure, characterized by low computational cost and reasonably few material parameters to be calibrated, can be very helpful for bridge management companies by rapidly providing a preliminary outlook of the structural health conditions of corroded bridge piers as well as of the residual seismic safety margins whenever a clear corrosion state is identified through visual inspection and/or experimental tests.
