A summary of the test results for all the tested system is instead reported in Tab. 3. In this table, the maximum load, the elongation at break and the breaking strength are reported for the yarns, while maximum load, elongation at break, tensile strength and modulus (the latter only for the 2 mm/min tests) are reported for the warp direction of the FRP grids, together with the relative average values and coefficients of variation (CoV). Failure in yarns was characterized by diffuse and consecutive rupture of the single filaments constituting the yarn (see Fig. 2(b)), while brittle failure was evidenced in the FRP grids.

The results in terms of average maximum load experimentally obtained for each sample are graphically summarized in Fig. 4. Here, the error bars define the range into which all the experimental results fall. Fig. 4(a) shows the results obtained when testing the yarn of system “F”. One may observe that by passing from a displacement rate of 2 mm/min to 50 mm/min the increase in the average breaking load is 4,93%, while it becomes
