Fig. 6. Portion of recrystallized structure in the wall of the final tube: close to the inner surface (left, locality 3), center (middle), and close to the outer surface (right). GOS (grain orientation spread) maps; recrystallized structure is depicted in blue, deformed in red, and transition between recrystallized and deformed structure in yellow. the starting state (locality 1) or with that at locality 2. However, it seems that 001 component corresponds to the recrystallized state while component 355 represents the deformed state (cf. Fig. 5a, the inner wall of the tube is left). Although the grain size of the material remains nearly constant, the ratio of high- and low-angle grain boundaries changes from locality to locality: While this ratio is about 2 at locality 2, it is about 6 at locality 3. The substantial increase of the fraction of the high-angle grain boundaries in the final tube is the consequence of different levels of dynamic recrystallization at localities 2 and 3. However, the deformation texture continuously transforms into the recrystallization texture during the dynamic recrystallization. As the recrystallization starts at locality 2, there is a smooth transition of preferred orientations. This transition is realized through the slight inclination of the grains (Fig. 4c) and thus, by the presence of high amount of low-angle grain boundaries. On the other hand, due to quite high level of dynamic recrystallization, there are considerably different texture components at locality 3. As a result, the fraction of the high-angle grain boundaries must be higher than in locality 2.
