higher-order terms of the Williams expansion assumed and/or the radial distance from the crack tip, where the fracture criterion is applied. It has been found out that for the studied configuration (defined corrosion pit size and its distance from the crack) the largest crack deflection occurs for the crack with its length of 0.25 mm and the particular value angle is strongly dependent on the number of the higher-order terms of the Williams expansion and less dependent on the radial distance applied. The contribution is a numerical part of complex study called “Influence of material properties of high strength steels on durability of engineering structures and bridges”, the obtained calibration curves will be applied in probabilistic description of structural elements fatigue behaviour, see Kala (2017, 2020 and 2021) or Krejsa et al. (2018).
