3. Results The fatigue failure locations of cantilever samples with different extracted directions can be seen in Fig. 4. It shows that the failure location for these samples orientates from the end of the cantilever, which is near the fixed side. Comparing the failure specimens for A and B directions shows that these samples are failures from the exact location. Thus, the fatigue life for the specimens extracted from different directions could be compared to differentiate the effect of specimen orientation.
