3. The binary NHL-MK binder exhibited generally lower compressive strength than the ternary NHL-MK-CEM matrix since adding cement in the binary paste increases by 40 % to 60 % the compressive strength of the ternary binder. The average flexural strength of proposed binary binders was found to be approximately 1.5 MPa, while exceeds 2 MPa for the proposed ternary binders.
