4. Conclusion Stress corrosion cracking (SCC) is one of the industry's unexpected and dangerous structural failures. Three factors are necessary for these failures: tensile stress material, corrosive environment, and sensitized material. If one of these three components does not exist, material failure will not occur. Material failure caused by SCC can be detected by SCC testing using several methods such as U-Bend specimens, C-Ring specimens, tensile specimens, and slow strain rate testing. The results show the behavior of SCC based on the material's mechanical properties in the corrosive environment and air, such as elongation to failure, reduction in area, ultimate tensile strength to predict the strength, and failure of material structures accurately. Therefore, SCC testing needs to be carried out to minimize material failure and help engineers choose materials to be used in the design process using more advanced technology.
