Abstract On the basis of experimental, numerical and analytical results, functional dependences of such crack resistance characteristics as critical opening of cracks in the temperature range from 300 K to 77 K and thickness of welded joints of the steels under study were obtained. The functional dependences of the parameters of the kinetic diagrams of low-cycle fracture on the mechanical properties of the material for a wide class of welded joints of austenitic stainless cyclically stable steels are given. © 2022 The Authors.
