Several conclusions can be made: -

Latency highly decreases the damage . It is mainly due of the number of cycles that is highly reduced for this example application. Stress response to thermal loading is lagged.For instance, historic of equivalent stresses is plotted here for the most critical node of Area 1 (adimensionned stress):
