the shape of the reflected spectrum of the fiber Bragg grating, which does not allow obtaining strain values based on the recorded physical quantities. As a recommendation for such materials, an additional protective coating or capillary should be used. Samples created using 3D printing require additional measures at the stage of laying and fixing the optical fiber, ensuring the necessary adhesion between the optical fiber and the material. As such measures, a special surface can be formed on which optical fibers are laid in the process of 3D printing or the use of adhesives. FOSs successfully embedded in the material were tested for compression to check their performance. Throughout the experiment, not only the shift of the resonance wavelength of FBGs was monitored, but also the spectra of the reflected signal. So, during the cement sample testing only a broadening of the spectrum was observed, while during the testing of epoxy resin sample, the spectrum was bifurcated. References Fang, L. et al., 2016.
