5. Conclusions After analyzing the results obtained with the Greedy algorithm and the formulations of the objective functions, we can state that f or a specific material combination of a structure we can find multiple “optimal” solutions for the material distribution, depending on our objectives. We proved that the formulation of the objective function affects in great proportions the result obtained with a Greedy algorithm and we can emphasize that selecting the right formulation for the objective function is a difficult task. Although we proved that the third formulation of the objective function gives better results than the first one, the algorithm doesn’t always reach one of the optimal solutions known from the brute force approach and needs further improvement.
