According to these results, the thinnest ligaments in each structure accumulate stress concentrations and localize the fracture onset. Due to structural heterogeneity, mechanical response of different parts of structure depends on local morphological parameters; the porosity gradient allows to control elastoplastic behavior. The Figs. 5-6 show displacements-force dependances for the presented gyroid structures with a gradient of porosity for different types of loading. The points on the curves mark the moment when the strains in some parts of the structure exceeded the critical value. This allows to compare the estimated load-bearing capacity for each of the studied structures at the two types of loads.
