As a result of the changes mentioned above to meet the newly defined requirements, two more changes were needed. First, since the developed equipment is expected to operate at an ambient temperature of up to 120 ºC, all of its components will need to operate at these temperatures, which after analysis was considered to be a problem only for stepper motors, because, according to the manufacturer's instructions, these components had a maximum operating ambient temperature of 50 ºC(Motion CONTROL PRODYCTS, n.d.). To solve this problem, a liquid cooling system was put in place, which involved attaching a heat exchanger block to the metal surface on the back of each stepper motor, and then circulating ethylene glycol in series through them using the EKWB Quantum Kinetic TBE 200 pump. In addition, the remaining four faces of the motor were covered with mineral wool and a reflective plastic film for insulation purposes, as shown in Figure 4. The other change made was the replacement of the main machine control unit, as the original machine was a proprietary solution of the original equipment manufacturer that did not allow for great configurability. For this purpose, a Duet 2 Wi-Fi card has been purchased and installed.
