2. Pneumatic circuit In parallel with the development of the control system, the opportunity arose to reformulate the pneumatic system. The original system, shown in Fig. 5, used three independent 3/2 valves to control feeding, pressurization and triggering, respectively, in addition to a restrictor, a reservoir, a 2/2 fast release valve and an analogue pressure gauge.

The revised circuit, shown in Fig. 6, keeps the same firing mechanism principle, comprised of the same fast release valve, reservoir and restrictor, while replacing the control valves, ending with an inline 3/2 for feed control and a 5/3 with closed centre to control the pressurization and trigger the firing mechanism. Additionally, the analogue pressure gauge was replaced by a digital gauge with voltage output.
