Theoretical and experimental determination of temperature fields during the surfacing process indicates the possibility of using this method to increase the wear resistance of parts and tools for which it is undesirable to overheat the base material. As well as hardfacing under higher currents can be used in case of restoring wear parts to ensure the right geometrical surface of part.
