levels. The confirmation test of the S/N ratio was based on the failure stress. The objective of the Taguchi method applied in this work is not only to improve the quality of the wire rope, but also to reduce the manufacturing cost. The optimal conditions are E=200 GPa and θ=229.19° and D=1.9mm. The simulation values of the first model are compared with the analytical values with the error of 8.30%, which is reasonable.
