All the tested specimens exhibit failure area with a necking zone, avoiding the breakage in two separate parts, in areas far from the welding zone (Fig. 5). This behaviour could be addressed to the ability of HDPE to resist at crack propagation (PE100 RC) (Arbeiter et al., 2016).
