3.2. Mega-Structural Integrity As described by Toribio (2020), the term mega-structural integrity may be introduced for avoiding the risk or failure or collapse of real engineering (mega)structures, e.g., bridges. Fig. 3 shows a superb and beautiful example of prestressed concrete bridge over the Douro river: the Ponte do Infante in Porto (Portugal), designed by the civil engineers Luis Matute and Francisco Millanes (IDEAM).
