To obtain tapes, we used a plasti-corder Brabender PL2200 extruder heated equally in all zones up to 180 °C. The rotation speed of the extruder screw was 13-15 rpm, which corresponded to the speed of 2-3 mm/sec, at which the tape goes out from the forming head. Then, the tape fell onto the belt conveyor and cooled down in the air. 7000 FT-IR instrument (Varian, USA) was used for the IR spectroscopy study. The spectra were obtained with a resolution of 2 cm -1 , in the range of 600-4000 cm -1 . Each spectrum requires 16 scans. We used the MIRacle Attenuated Total Reflectance (ATR) accessory (PIKE, USA) equipped with a diamond crystal. Background spectra were obtained before scanning each sample. 3. Results and discussion

Fig. 2 shows the IR absorption spectra of composites after UV radiation.

Fig. 2. IR-spectra of: a) 273-83/PE1296 before UV-irradiation; b) irradiated 273-83/PE1296; c) irradiated 273-83/PE1296 + 0.5wt.% CO3; d) irradiated 273-83/PE1296 + 0.3 wt.% CO4; e) irradiated 273-83/PE1296 + 0.5 wt.% Stafen.

In the spectra of composites (Fig. 2), there is a group of peaks in the region of 1900–2200 cm -1 . This group of peaks can be explained by the diamond prism material of the ATR accessory, i.e. the refractive index of the tested samples containing a large amount of electrically conductive carbon was comparable with the refractive index of the
