Fig. 2. Deformations in the rod at a distance of 5 cm from the edge of the force applied in the absence of resistance forces, numerical calculation.
In the presence of an environment, that is, when the coefficient of resistance of the medium is different from zero, the distribution of deformations will take the form shown in Fig. 3.
Fig. 3. Deformations in a rod in an elastic environment at a distance of 5 cm from the edge of the force application, numerical calculation.
As shown in Fig. 3, the character of the first two oscillations of the numerical calculation qualitatively coincides with the experimental data. In numerical calculations the simulation parameters were selected in accordance with experimental data. 4. Fracture in the Klein-Gordon wave field Lets now consider strength characteristics and explore possible options for structural failure to prevent them. When the compressive force is applied, a straight compression wave will first go along the rod. As soon as the straight wave reaches the free edge of the rod, it will reflect off it and change its sign to the opposite. Initially, the compressing wave will become a stretching wave after reflection. The resulting stress that occurs in the rod will be equal to the sum of two waves, direct and reflected
