4. Experimental details and results The accuracy of the new extension of the TCD being proposed was checked by generating a large number of experimental results. In more detail, symmetric and asymmetric bending tests were carried on beams having 100 mm X 100 mm square section and 500 mm long. Both unnotched and notched specimens had 50 mm net nominal depth.
