Fig. 6. The strain in the middle stage of the numerical simulation.
Figure 8 demonstrates the maximum stress and maximum strain of the several stages of the nonlinear numerical simulation when the model was subjected to a single direction at horizontal X direction and multidirectional of the X, Y, and Z directions simultaneously. In comparison, the embankment-subsoil model was subjected to a single horizontal direction with the multidirectional of the near-fault ground motion, the nonlinear displacement of the model when is subjected to a single horizontal direction is higher than when the embankment-subsoil is subjected to the multidirectional of the near-fault ground motion. Due to the seismic loading interaction in different directions, the vibration of the embankment-subsoil model is more harmonically when the model is subjected to the multidirectional of the near-fault ground motion, and most of the maximum stress and maximum strain exhibit in the average rate. The embankment-subsoil model subjected to the single horizontal the near-fault ground motion exhibit with upper high displacement. However, after a combination of the numerical simulation results with the statistical model it has been understood the resultants of the maximum stress and maximum strain when the model is subjected to the
