is limited to predicting softening or hardening behaviour alone; the whole set of considered rules are characterized by limited predictive ability, with Manson’s rule being able to su ffi ciently limit the number of errors (38%). Overall, Manson’s rule is characterized by the greatest number of correct predictions (55%) and a minimum number of errors (21%).
