all horizontally fabricated samples, none of them reaching EOS reference value of 1025 MPa). This effect is known to affect much more horizontal samples than vertical, as found. In case of residual stresses, after support removal (i.e. without the application of any stress relieving and/or heat treatment) s pecimen’s typical barrel shape can take a more characteristic banana-like fashion. Average measured ROA% for vertical specimens (ROA% v =69,0±2,2) and horizontal (ROA% h =67,6±1,3) are equivalent within the error bar (full error bar=2σ ( - σ; + σ; symmetric), σ being the standard deviation, calculated for each group of samples) and quite high (for an as-built material). Average measured El% for vertical (El% v =21,1±0,8) and horizontal specimens (El% h =23,8±0,5 MPa) shows a different ductile behavior of samples in the two building directions (full error bar=2σ ( - σ; + σ; symmetric), σ being the standard deviation, calculated for each group of samples).
