the cluster the proposed model of the layered medium was used with parameters =2*10 5 Pa, q = 0.5, = 0.1. Three different orientations were simulated: horizontal layers, vertical layers and 45 rotated layers. The obtained wave field for the last case is represented at Fig. 2 for the normalized velocity modulus during the interaction. The velocity is normalized to the value max v = 0.1 m/s in the propagating wave.
Fig. 1. The simulation area geometry. The wave source is depicted with the star; the layered cluster is filled with the grey colour.
Fig. 2. The spatial distribution of the normalized velocity modulus during the interaction with the layered cluster with 45 0 oriented elements (straight white lines are to show the direction). Blue colour corresponds to 0, red colour – 1.
The influence of the layer orientation on the scattered wave field was clearly registered. Seismic response is symmetric only for horizontal and vertical orientations. Based on this fact it is possible to make some assumptions about the main direction in the subsurface fractured medium. 4. Conclusion Continual models of solid media with a discrete set of slip planes (layered, block media) and with nonlinear viscous-plastic type slip conditions at the contact boundaries of structural elements are constructed.
