Fig. 4. Schedule and Cost Performance Analysis If we want to analyze the performance of schedule and cost of the first four months of the execution of the works, we must start by obtaining the accrued monthly values of PV, EV and AC summarized in the following Table 3. Table 3 - AC, PV and EV Accrued Accrued Values Month 1 Month 2 Month 3 Month 4 PV Accrued € 40 460 € 84 699 € 152 260 € 225 197 EV Accrued € 57 653 € 127 162 € 187 760 € 244 508 AC Accrued € 32 075 € 66 517 € 120 945 € 179 672 From the analysis we can see that the first four months both the estimated values (PV) and the actual cost values were always below the measured values (EV). Based on these values, we determined the Cost Variance (CV), Schedule Variance (SV)), Cost Performance Index (CPI) and Schedule Perfomance Index (SPI), and from these we calculated the Estimated At Completion (EAC), Variance At Completion (VAC) and Time At Completion (TAC), that we can see in Table 4. Table 4 - State, Performance and Forecast Indicators Indicators Month 1 Month 2 Month 3 Month 4 SV € 17 193 € 42 463 € 35 500 € 19 311 CV € 25 578 € 60 645 € 66 816 € 64 836 SPI 1,42 1,50 1,23 1,09 CPI 1,80 1,91 1,55 1,36 EAC € 389 331 € 366 058 € 450 772 € 514 235 VAC € 310 469 € 333 742 € 249 029 € 185 565 TAC 8 8 10 11 Over the four months there were positive periods of schedule deviation (SV) and cost deviation (CV), indicating that the execution of the work was ahead of schedule and its cost lower than expected. The performance indices of values reinforce previous indications. Therefore, in month 4, the CPI value = 1.36 indicates that there was a gain of 36% for each monetary unit invested in the work, and in relation to the execution advance, the value of SPI = 1.09 indicates that 9% more of the planned work was done. On keeping with this performance, the forecast indicators allow us to estimate that the probable final cost of the work will be € 514 235 (EAC), with a variation of € 185,565 (VAC) from the originally planned, with a lower co st than estimated. With the value of TAC = 11 months, it is estimated that the works will be completed 1 month ahead of schedule. We can see in Fig. 5 the evolution of the Schedule and Cost Indicators (CPI, SPI) throughout the works.
