When determining the residual radius of curvature, attention has been paid to the initial curling part of the chip because this part of the chip was the least affected by the overlapping effect. The inner and outer of profiles of the initial part of the chip were analyzed by means of least-squares circle fitting, and the radius of curvature of the chip, R, was approximated by
