It is obvious that the new proposal offers a much user-friendlier approach to the understanding of the constructional detail, on the forces and therefore stresses to be taken into account, on the type of the weld and on the requirements exceeding those already given for the fabrication of such a constructional detail within EN 1090-2 (2018). The latter topic is treated in section 2.2.9 in more details. On the other hand, although the tables are expected to receive more clarity and better description, any radical modification of detail categories (unless well documented and justified) or fatigue strength (“S-N”) curves seems
